Cars in German City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were alerted by a resident who found a car in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Officers report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Officers then discovered many other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report early analysis suggest the substance was probably human blood.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not aware of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to resolve the case" and have appealed to the public for information.

A high-ranking representative stated the attack left him stunned and had to be addressed quickly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the death of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of migrant background in five years prior.
